Otehon Camera — Privacy Policy

Application: Otehon Camera (お手本カメラ) for iOS

Introduction

Otehon Camera ("the App") is an iPhone camera app that assists you while you shoot: composition guides, scene-based automatic camera settings, and an optional finishing touch after capture.

The App collects no personal information, no photos, and no usage data. Everything it does happens on your iPhone.

1. Information We Collect

None.

The App does not collect, record, or transmit any of the following:

The App has no account system and never asks you to sign in.

2. Network Communication

The App has no network functionality whatsoever.

Its program contains no code for communicating over the internet. Consequently, no data of any kind — photos, analysis results, or settings — is ever sent to the developer or to any third party. Every feature works identically in Airplane Mode.

3. How Camera Images Are Handled (entirely on your device)

Composition guides, subject detection, level/tilt detection, exposure adjustment, and the post-capture finishing touch are all performed exclusively on your device, using Apple's built-in frameworks (AVFoundation, Vision, Core Motion, Core Image).

4. Permissions the App Requests

The App requests only the following two permissions.

Camera access (NSCameraUsageDescription)

Used to capture photos and to display composition guides, level indication, and brightness advice in real time. All analysis of the camera feed happens solely on this device; neither the video feed nor your photos are sent to any external server.

Add to Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription)

Used to save the photos you take into your photo library. This is an add-only permission. The App does not request permission to browse or read the existing contents of your photo library.

Permissions the App does NOT request

5. Photos You Select for "Overlay Shot"

The "Overlay Shot" feature (kasane-dori), which overlays a previously taken photo semi-transparently so you can match its composition, uses the standard iOS photo picker (PHPickerViewController).

6. Where Your Photos Are Saved

Photos you capture are saved only to your iPhone's photo library. The App maintains no photo storage of its own and keeps no copy. Once saved, a photo is under your control alone and cannot be read back by the App.

7. Settings Stored in the App

The App stores the following settings only on your device (in iOS UserDefaults). They contain no personally identifiable information and are never transmitted. Deleting the App deletes them.

8. Advertising, Analytics, and Third Parties

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at any particular age group. Because it collects no personal information from any user, it collects none from children either.

10. Your Rights

Because the App neither collects nor holds personal data, the developer holds no data subject to access, correction, or deletion requests. The on-device settings can be changed at any time in the App's settings screen, or erased entirely by deleting the App.

11. Changes to This Policy

If a future release changes how the App handles data, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
